Abstract The proposed study focuses on developing multiphase hybrid composites comprisingEpoxymatrixandE-Glassfibers,andinvestigatingtheirwearbehaviorundervaryingprocessconditions. The research employs the Taguchi method to optimize parameters (load, speed,sliding distance) that affect wear. Experimental tests on a specialized rig simulate wear un-der different conditions, and analysis tools like orthogonal arrays and analysis of varianceare used to determine optimal input levels and their impact. Observed findings show thatload, speed, and sliding distance significantly affect wear rate and optimal settings (20 Nload, 400 rpm speed, 100 m sliding distance) minimize wear rate. For instance, at 10 N load,200 rpm speed, and 50 m sliding distance, initial wear is 201.12 microns, projected wearrate after Taguchi optimization is about 206.9 microns. Confirmation test measures around211.52microns. ThestudyhighlightsTaguchi'sefficiencyinoptimizingprocessparameters,aidingdesignforhybridcomposites. Thisapproachenhancesproductionprocesses, meetingindustry demand for such materials also findings offer insights into settings to achieve opti-mal wear rate, enhancing hybrid composite performance and manufacturing sector's abilityto meet material demands.
