Abstract
This research study was a research and development (R&D) design. The main purposes were: 1) to develop of local curriculum on processing agricultural products for students in Mattayomsuksa I 2) to study the results of using the local curriculum on processing agricultural products and 3) to efficiency of local curriculum on processing agricultural products for students in Mattayomsuksa I The research methodology consisted four stages: 1) a study of fundamental data 2) curriculum development 3) experimentation 4) evaluation and improvement. The sample included two groups. The first group, consisting of 69 stakeholders and students in Mattayomsuksa I studying in the second semester of the academic year 2009, was used for survey and study the basic information. The second group, consisting of 25 students in Mattayomsuksa I studying in the first semester of the academic year 2010, was used for the curriculum implementation and evaluation phase. The research instruments were: a questionnaire used to ask stakeholders, a questionnaire used to ask students, the local curriculum on processing agricultural products, lesson plans, practical skill test, and attitude test toward learning. The statistical analysis was employed using percentage, mean and t-test.The research results found that the stakeholders they realize of the importance of the local curriculum on processing agricultural products. They required various learning activities that cover both concepts and actual practice; students, teachers and local wisdom And the results obtained from the students regarding their basic information showed that the students expressed their desires on learning both general knowledge on processing agricultural products and practice, teachers and local wisdom to manage learning activities. The results showed that the curriculum the students in Mattayomsuksa I, who were trained the local curriculum on processing agricultural products showed their concepts after the experiment significantly higher than that before the experiment at the .05 level their practical skills after the experiment at 85.13% higher than the criteria set by the school and the average score of the expected attitude toward their learning ( = 4.48). The local curriculum processing agricultural products had efficiency of 85.29/86.74, which was higher than the established of 80/80
