| Abstract | In this paper a hybrid of efficient techniques for obtaining the transient response vectors of a linear time-invariant system is presented. The proposed method is called the restrictive Pad approximation and is used for approximating the resulting exponential matrix which arises when solving the linear time-invariant system in the Hessenberg form. The suggested method does not require the knowledge of eigen-values of the matrix. Some numerical examples are given to validate the accuracy of the proposed method. |
