| Abstract | The objective of research is to develop a decision support system (DSS) for selecting multimodal transportation route of an origin and a destination under limitation budget, time and qualitative factor for logistics service providers (LSPs) and small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The previous researches for selecting a multimodal transportation route have emphasised the selection of multimodal transportation routes for minimum cost or minimum time by using only quantitative criteria without qualitative criteria. This research is design for combine quantitative criteria and qualitative criteria. The DSS model is the combination of a number of models beginning with the Firstly, a Multimodal Transport Cost-model is used to find the cost and time of each route: Secondly, the AHP which can help to bring consistency weight whose decision criteria - both quantitative and qualitative - are expressed in subjective measures according to the point of view of users. Then followed by the ZOGP which can integrate weight from the AHP with quantitative data to achieve an optimal multimodal transportation routing based upon limitation of time, budget and risk. This case study of this research is transported service, originating from Bangkok in Thailand to a destination in Da Nang in Vietnam. The user sets the constraint: the budget at 1,000 USD, time 10 days and risk scale 10. The final recommendation, show that the optimal route is the route from Bangkok by sea to Ho Chi Minh City then by train to Da Nang. Transportation cost is equal to 790 USD that can reduce the transportation cost by truck about 580 USD (-43.33%), spent time increased for 3 days (+50%), which is not more than user need at 10 days |
