| Abstract | This research aims to study an effectiveness of applying the Isan e-Extension system in pilot areas of 27 districts in 20 provinces of the Northeastern region. The study was conducted with a sample of 81 agricultural extension officers. Data were collected using questionnaires during September and December 2023. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The results found that more than 80 percent of the sample group used digital technology in all missions of agricultural extension work. They were satisfied with the Isan e-Extension system at a high level. The Isan e-Extension system was able to reduce staff operating expenses in some issues, including meeting expenses and training allowances. It was Increased operational efficiency, such as the sample group was able to visit 728 more farmers and agricultural organizations and the number of visits increased by 141 times per month. The sample group gave comments that the work of the staff was highly effective and modern. However, there are some problems and obstacles in applying the Isan e-Extension system including limitation of tools and equipment for working, unstable of the internet network system, lack of skills in using digital technology and lack of understanding of the Isan e-Extension system. |
