| Abstract | บทความนี้ ศึกษาบทบาทของธุรกิจภายใต้แนวคิดโลกาภิบาลด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมโดยมุ่งถกเถียงว่า นอกจากบทบาทของรัฐและองค์การระหว่างรัฐบาลอย่างสหประชาชาติแล้ว บทบาทและความร่วมมือจากตัวแสดงที่หลากหลาย รวมทั้งตัวแสดงที่มิใช่รัฐอย่างธุรกิจนับว่าสำคัญในการจัดการกับปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมในระดับโลก อันรวมถึงปัญหาการแปรสภาพเป็นทะเลทราย บทความนี้ยังชี้ให้เห็นว่า ธุรกิจที่มุ่งแสวงหาผลกำไรและความมั่งคั่งกับธุรกิจที่มุ่งแสวงหาความยั่งยืนนั้นสามารถดำรงอยู่ร่วมกันได้ผ่านการวิเคราะห์บทบาทของกลุ่มบริษัทอี้ลี่ (Elion Group) ซึ่งเป็นกรณีศึกษาของบทความนี้ในการต่อสู้กับการแปรสภาพเป็นทะเลทรายในมองโกเลียในของจีน ผลการศึกษาพบว่า กลุ่มบริษัทอี้ลี่ในฐานะบริษัทฟื้นฟูระบบนิเวศสามารถแสดงบทบาทนำในการต่อสู้กับการแปรสภาพเป็นทะเลทรายในจีนอย่างชัดเจนผ่าน "ตัวแบบกู้ปู้ฉี" ภายใต้ความร่วมมือและความเป็นหุ้นส่วนอย่างใกล้ชิดกับรัฐบาลจีน ประชาคมระหว่างประเทศ และชุมชนท้องถิ่น นอกจากนั้น กลุ่มบริษัทอี้ลี่ยังสะท้อนให้เห็นว่า ธุรกิจที่มุ่งแสวงหาผลกำไรและความมั่งคั่งสามารถดำเนินควบคู่ไปกับการดำเนินธุรกิจที่แสวงหาความยั่งยืนได้เป็นอย่างดีThis article examines the role of businesses under the concept of global environmental governance in an attempt to argue that apart from states and intergovernmental organizations such as the United Nations, the role of and the cooperation from multiple actors, including non-state actors such as businesses, are crucial in tackling global environmental problems, including desertification. It also asserts that profit- and wealth-driven businesses and sustainability-driven businesses can co-exist through the analysis of the role of the Elion Group, a case study of this article, in combating desertification in China's Inner Mongolia.According to the findings, the Elion Group, as an eco-restoration company, plays a leading role in China's fight against desertification through the "Kubuqi Model," which involves close collaboration and partnership with the Chinese government, international communities, and local communities. Furthermore, the Elion Group demonstrates that profit-and wealth-driven businesses can coexist harmoniously with sustainability-driven businesses. |
