| Abstract | This article research aimed to analyze the ethics reflected in the National Teacher’s Day slogans from 1979 to 2024, by using the 2013 professional teacher standards for ethical practices as a framework. The study employed document analysis to examine 46 slogans published on the Teachers’ Council of Thailand website. The analysis focused on moral and ethical principles outlined in the code of ethics for the teaching profession, which encompassed five ethical principles, nine dimensions, and a total of 17 attributes. The instrument used was a moral analysis form. The statistics employed included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and distribution. The findings revealed that the National Teacher’s Day slogans from 1979 to 2024 clearly reflected the professional ethics of teachers based on the 2013 standards. On average, each year’s slogan conveyed 5–6 ethical principles, particularly those emphasizing integrity, fostering faith in the profession, and demonstrating love and compassion for students, which were the most frequently mentioned ethics. Most slogans primarily aimed to instill virtues related to the roles and responsibilities of teachers and their relationships with students. However, ethical aspects concerning the promotion of social and environmental well-being, including the development of relationships at the organizational level in the teaching profession has been presented rather minimally in slogans. |
