| Abstract | The objectives of this research were 1) to develop the achievement of reading and analytical thinking by using fables, and 2) to study the development of reading and analytical thinking by using fables of prathomsuksa 3 students. The target groups for the research include: prathomsuksa 3 students at Ban Sok Community School who were studying in the first semester of the 2023 academic year, were obtained by using the purposive selection method. The tools used in the research include a learning plan for reading and analytical thinking, and a test to measure reading and analytical thinking achievement before and after class. Basic statistics used in this research include percentage, mean and standard deviation. Staistics to analyze the differences in achievement scores before and after studying among the target groups were used Nonparametic statistics - Wilcoxon Signed Rank test for Matched Paired Difference. The results of the research found that: 1) The results of comparing the achievement scores in reading and analytical thinking skills of prathomsuksa 3 students using fables revealed that the test scores after the study were higher than before the study, statistically significant at the .05 level, and 2) The results of the analysis of the development level of reading and analytical thinking of prathomsuksa 3 students who learned using fables from comparing the scores of the pre-test and post-test results found that the average score after studying (16.75) increased from before studying (9.53) equal to 7.17 or 63.15 percent when calculated find the relative development value and find that the overall average was 69.34, indicating that prathomsuksa 3 students who learned by using fables had a high level of development in reading and analytical thinking. |
