Abstract The objectives of this research article were as follows: 1. to study the necessary requirements for developing teacher competencies in the 21st century in the Paniad School Group, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, 2. to study the methods of developing teacher competencies in the 21st century using the four principles of bhavana in the Paniad School Group, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, and 3. to propose guidelines for developing teacher competencies in the 21st century using the four principles of bhavana in the Peniad School Group, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. There is a mixed-method research among quantitative and qualitative research. The quantitative research involved a population of 161 administrators and teachers, collecting data through a questionnaire on opinions, and analyzing statistics to find the mean, standard deviation, and the necessity level required by the educational institution using the Priority Needs Index (PNI) method. The qualitative research involved content analysis of interviews with 7 experts.The research results found that 1) the needs that are most important include competencies in ethics and teacher professionalism (PNImodified=0.091), self-development competencies (PNImodified=0.079), competencies in good service (PNImodified=0.076), work performance competencies (PNImodified=0.074), and team work competencies (PNImodified=0.067), respectively. 2. The study on methods for developing teacher competencies in the 21st century using the four principles of bhavana in the Paniad School Group, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, yielded the following results: 1) physical meditation: organizing health promotion activities, exercise, meditation, or yoga to enhance physical and mental health, created daily discipline, 2) moral meditation: promoting social responsibility and adherence to ethics, helping to build confidence and trust from others by emphasizing virtues, 3) mental meditation: Encouraging meditation practice to increase tranquility, setting short-term and long-term self-development goals, and 4) wisdom meditation: Promoting learning and knowledge exchange about ethics. 3. Guidelines for Developing Teacher Competencies in the 21st Century using the four principles of bhavana in Paniad School Group, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province are as follows: 1) competency in ethics and teacher code of conduct: administrators should promote the physical and mental well-being of teachers, instill ethics, and support continuous learning to create a good working atmosphere, 2) competency in self-development: Administrators should promote the physical and mental well-being of teachers, practice ethics, and develop mindfulness to enhance the power of self-development and working with others with virtue, and 3) competency in good service.
