| Abstract | This dissertation was qualitative research. The objectives were 1) to study human resource development in the new way of life era, 2) to study appropriate Buddhist ethical principles in human resource development, 3) to integrate human resource development in the new way of life era with Buddhist ethical principles, and 4) to present an integrated model for human resource development in the new way of life era with the principles of Buddhist ethics. The information was collected from the Tipitaka, related documents, research works, and in-depth interview with 21 experts. The data was analyzed by descriptive approach.The research results were found that 1) human resource development in the new way of life era consisted of physical, mental, intellectual, and social development. These were trained to be the competency and mindfulness, knowing of health, human capital management through intellectual, emotional, and social, smart positive thinking, well adjusted, happy together, connection with the economic theory and systems of psychology and learning in a balanced way. 2) The Buddhist ethics principles appropriate for developing human resources were the principles of Ayussadhamma for having a valuable and quality long life, the Four Divine Abodes to develop the mind to control life in all situations, adjusting the mind to think in a way that reflects on the mind, having the four Sanghavatthu to control one's heart, control people, control work, and create unity. 3) Integrating human resource development with Buddhist ethics consisted of (1) physical aspect with Ayussadhamma, to create healthy habits for a long and valuable life, resulting in perfect physical health, being safe from chronic and contagious diseases, having immunity at every age have a sufficiency economy, having a good environment, non-accidents, (2) mental aspect with the 4 Brahmavihara principles, resulting in mental health, clam mind, and self-controlled, (3) intellect with the principle of Yonisomanasikara, affecting intellectual well-being, reaching the truth, reducing selfishness, able to adapt in every situation, and 4) new knowledge of “IMPR -MODEL” resulting in self-immunity (IMMUNITY), quality mind, capability, good health, diligence, prevention of evil, reduction of defilements, keeping precepts, good balance (MODESTY), intellectual power of thinking, understanding perspicacious, harmonious society, peace, and good quality of life. |
