| Abstract | This research has three objectives: (1) to study the current state of personnel management among school administrators under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya; (2) to explore the application of Brahmavihara IV principles in personnel management by these administrators; and (3) to propose guidelines for personnel management based on the Brahmavihara IV principles for school administrators within the same context. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, collecting quantitative data from 205 school administrators and teachers using a questionnaire, which was analyzed using statistical methods such as mean and standard deviation. Additionally, qualitative data were gathered through interviews with seven experts, analyzed using content analysis to extract suitable management guidelines. The research findings indicate that 1. The state of personnel management among school administrators under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya was found to be at a high level overall, with a mean score of 4.44 and a standard deviation of 0.32. Analysis of the state of personnel management by specific aspects revealed two aspects rated at the highest level: personnel training and development and workforce planning. The remaining aspects were rated at a high level, including performance evaluation, recruitment and appointment, and salary and promotion management. 2. The study of personnel management methods based on the Brahmavihara IV principles among school administrators under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya revealed the following practices: Loving-kindness (Metta): Personnel management involves actively listening to and caring for staff. Compassion (Karuna): Administrators demonstrate generosity and support for personnel development. Sympathetic Joy (Mudita): The focus is on celebrating the success of personnel in both their professional tasks and personal development. Equanimity (Upekkha): Management emphasizes fair and unbiased evaluations. 3. The guidelines for personnel management based on the Brahmavihara IV principles across five key areas-workforce planning, recruitment and appointment, salary and promotion management, performance evaluation, and personnel training and development-for school administrators under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya are as follows: Metta, Karuna, Mudita, Upekkha |
