| Abstract | This research article The objectives were: 1) to study the history of Buddhism propagation; 2) to study the problems and obstacles in the propagation of Buddhism at Thai Nalanda Temple and 3) to propose a strategy for propagating Buddhism at Thai Nalanda Temple. Bihar, India is a qualitative research by studying documents and in-depth interviews in order to obtain important information to analyze the results of the research. The results of the research found that: Propagation during the Buddha's time There are various methods starting from the oral method to the post-Buddhist era, teachings were recorded in palm leaves and media. and has expanded to propagate Buddhism until it is known all over the world including Thailand Later, Buddhism was revived in India. which Thai Nalanda Temple has participated in the revival and propagation of Buddhism in India until now. Problems encountered in the propagation of Buddhism in India at Wat Thai Nalanda are: 1) Restrictions on religious practices in India 2) Language problems in communicating with Indians 3) Indian social context problems 4) Problems in the management structure within the temple 5) the problem of the spread of the COVID-19 virus and 6) Climate Issues. Thai Nalanda Temple has a vision to bring Buddhism back to India. Therefore, the strategy for propagating Buddhism in India has been established as follows: Strategy 1. Creating people for the propagation of Buddhism Strategy 2. Building a branch temple of Wat Thai Nalanda Strategy 3. Pilgrimage Support Plan Strategy 4. Operational Planning of Thai Nalanda Temple. |
