| Abstract | The objective of research is to study the problems about Buddhism learning of Thai youths, who are between the ages of 15-24 years. To study the body of knowledge about Buddhism among the youth. To study the problems of learning Buddhism among youths and to create innovation and technology in Buddhism education for youths. The population of the study was 9,140,544 people; the sample group was 440 people. The quantitative research used questionnaire 440 sets, and the qualitatively research used focus group interview method with 20 people. The analysis by using descriptive statistics such as percentage, mean, deviation and processing the data with a statistical computer program. The qualitative data analysis by descriptive synthetic and analysis method. The results of the quantitative research found that the general data of the respondents were 270 females and 170 males, by 297 people of them most of whom were aged between 15-17 years old and 158 people were studying in Grade 12 of 158 people. Problems in learning Buddhism among youths aged 15-24 have mean at a moderate level (x? = 2.91 SD = 0.50). The most problematic issue was that they did not understand Buddhism in the classroom with the highest average, followed by inappropriate content, and using language that is difficult to understand and does not convey the ability to apply in real life. The results of the qualitative research revealed that the youth had the same problem in learning Buddhism, that is, they did not understand the subject too deeply profound. Teaching in the classroom uses language that is difficult to understand and does not convey the learning and then can be applied in real life. Listening to the Dharma on various occasions takes a long time and the content is difficult to understand and using Pali language too much, therefore, should include Buddhist content that is adapted to the new era, and using language that is easy to understand. The results of the quantitative research found that the general information of the youth was at a medium level. And qualitative research results. It was found that the youth had the same problem in learning Buddhism, that is, they did not understand the subject too deeply. Should include Buddhist content that is applied to the new era, using language that is easy to understand so that the listeners will not be bored. |
