Abstract The research aimed to 1) study the levels of perceived organizational support and organizational commitment 2) study the influence of perceived organizational support on organizational commitment, and 3) study and propose the enhancement guidelines on the perceived organizational support and the organizational commitment of municipal personnel in Mueang Nakhon Pathom, Nakhon Pathom province. The sample groups consisted of 334 staff from 7 municipalities in Mueang Nakhon Pathom. Purposive sampling was used for a total of 21 key informants. The research tools were the questionnaires and interview forms. The statistics used in this research were frequency, percentage, means, standard deviation, Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient, and the enter multiple regression and qualitative research was analyzed by content analysis. The research results were as follows: 1) the municipal personnel in Mueang Nakhon Pathom had high level of perceived organizational support and organizational commitment. 2) Perceived organizational support for fairness, supervisors’ support and organizational rewards and job conditions were predictive of organizational commitment at 38.8 percent at a significant level of .05. The fairness of perceived organizational support was the best predict in organizational commitment. 3) To create the guidelines for enhancing the perceived organizational support, the municipalities should have regular monthly meetings to publicize the rules and regulations at various points within the office building. Moreover, the executives and supervisors must adhere to the rules and regulations for actions and performance. It should have a promotion of collaboration among personnel and improvements for the wider office building. Regarding the guidelines to strengthen organizational commitment, the municipalities should create a common attitude or ideology for the entire organization, promote participation in operations, and organize relationship-building activities among the personnel and administrators and request an assessment to determine other special compensation in a form of a bonus for the municipal personnel.
