| Abstract | This research aims to study the elderly housing management policy through themanagement perspective of the public, private and community sectors. each project operationalprocess. Data was analyzed through SWOT Analysis and TOWS Matrix models.The study results revealed that the current elderly housing management policy and analysisby SWOT Analysis and TOWS Matrix Model is not a sustainable solution, instead it is just a policy tosolve the symptom rather than the root cause of the problem. This research clearly indicated thatthere is a need of an increase in setting a housing standard for the elder population including theelderly care center, the elderly nursing home, the elder with dementia residential care, palliativecare, and the elderly community. The project extension of private sector in housing modificationwas a good solution to solve the problem at the root cause. If this project can get a support by thegovernment including budget, policy, law and other regulations, together with the collaborationfrom the private sector and the community in providing services and technology as well as anencouragement on savings to prepare Thai citizens before entering the elderly age. This will enhancethe elderly housing management in Thailand to be able to have a well-developed sustainabilityfurther in the future. |
