| Abstract | This study was designed as a descriptive study to assess the outcome ofpregnancy with first trimester threatened abortion and sonographic detectedembryonic or fetal cardiac activ~ty. 295 pregnancies complicated with first tr~mesterthreatened abortion which sonographic detected fetal cardiac activ~ty between January1, 1996 to July 3 1, 1997 at antenatai clinic, Department of Obstetrics and GynaecologyFaculty of Medicine, Ramathbodi Hospital, Mahidol University Bangkok. Thailand werefollowed and recorded outcome of pregnancy and complication. The result showedthat the incidence of abortion occurred in 10.1 7%. Preterm labor was 13.22% Theremaining pregnancy, 76.61 O/o, continued to term pregnancy Conclusion; Three fourthof pregnancies complicated with first trimester threatened abortion which sonographicdetected fetal cardiac activity continued to term pregnancy |
