| Abstract | The annexins are a family of Ca2+ -dependdent phospholipid binding proteins. Each annexin, molecular weight 32000-39000,is composed of 4-6 homologous amphiphilic ?-helices, It acts by binding to the annionic phospholipid surface in elevation of Ca2+ concentration then organizes into trimers, hexamers, and higher aggregates; and ultimately forms an extended hexagonal array around the target protein (s) . The resultant inhibits phospholipid binding proteins such as inhibition phosphokinase (PKC) and phospholipase(PLasese) in activated CIฏ conductance and in other reaction : anticoagulant, hormone and neurotransmitter excytosis. |
