| Abstract | This research article about Buddhist peaceful means for enhancing happiness at work among the registered nurses at Wihandaeng hospital in Saraburi province. There were three main objectives of study: 1) to study the ideas of the Right View in Buddhist scripture, 2) to study the unhappy working condition among Wihandaeng Hospital s registered nurses, and 3) to apply the Right View of Buddhist peaceful means for enhancing happiness at work among the registered nurses at Wihandaeng hospital, Saraburi province. This qualitative study used in-depth interview and participatory observation with fourteen key informants for data collection.The findings revealed that 'Samm?dit?t?hi' refers to the Right View by having good company and analytical consideration named as 'Yonisomanasik?ra' to lead our life as the compass leads right direction for performing good behaviors both in physically and mentally actions. According to in-depth interviews, the nurses have lacked of happiness at work due to their external factors including workplace environment and stressful events; and their individual perspective or attitude toward working life as regards their internal factors. For enhancing their happiness at work, the nurses should apply 'Samm?dit?t?hi' as the ladder of R-A-E-S which stands for Right view, Attitude adjustment, Empowerment, and Sharing. Whenever the nurses practice their mind, their inner peaceful mind will happen which can lead their inner happiness as characterized a happy nurse at workplace by the term of "VARISADA." |
