| Abstract | Purpose of the study: The aim of this research is to 1) study the labor demand trends of the labor market. The job description that can support the Bachelor of Arts, Information Management Major, Prince of Songkla University. 2) study of graduates' expectations on the knowledge and skills in the operation of the Bachelor of Arts program Information Management Program, Prince of Songkla University. Methodology: Data were collected through document analysis, surveys, questionnaires, and interviews. The data were analyzed with statistics including percentage, mean, and standard. Main Findings: Research findings were as follows: 1) The labor market has a lower rate of demand for librarians and information specialists less than the demand for workers who apply information management skills and information technology. But the trend of demand for workers in information analysis and information service will be increasing. The average salary is 9,708.50 bath for librarian and 14,091.50 bath for information specialist position. 2) The labor market had expected the level of employees in morality and ethics at the highest level. Applications of this study : That can be used to plan the course development to produce graduates, and preparation of graduates before entering the information labor market.Novelty/Originality of this study: The study of the opportunity labour market for information specialists found that despite the direct demand for information workers like librarians, and information management has a low demand for labour but has increasing demand, and individual characteristics and skills have affecting employment. |
