| Abstract | The objectives of this research were to study metaphorical expressions about love concept in the lyrics of Thongchai Mcintyre. Also, the data was collected from 2007 to 2013. There are a total of 193 songs. There were 5 conceptual metaphors in this study, such as [LOVE IS NATURE], [LOVE IS INVENTION/BUILDING], [LOVE IS EDUCATION], [LOVE IS GAME / COMPETITION] and [LOVE IS ACCESSORIES / CLOTHES] Furthermore, all these concepttual metaphors also reveal that love is a basic of Human and love requires complex learning and care. |
