| Abstract | Professional learning community (PLC) becomes an approach to develop teachers’ profession and students. This research article aims to present PLC model by using folktales. This research was a qualitative research using a case study of 6 school principals and 12 teachers called “a group of Muang Phayao 1”. An observation, a semi-structured interview and an assessment visit’s field note were employed to collect data. The data were analyzed by content analysis. The results reveal that the integration of PLC model and folktales improved both teacher professional development and language learners. Some teachers portrayed their PLC concepts and behaviors in their practices incredibly. This research also highlights that the PLC model should be implemented in other school contexts in cooperation with university networks and the project of U-School mentoring system under the Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC). In the aspect of a long-term process and its sustainability, school principals and the directors of Phayao Primary Educational Service Area Offices should include the model implementation in their action plans and systematically put into practices. |
