| Abstract | This purpose of academic article to study vowel conversion transformation of Pali and Sanskrit language, that is used in the Thai language. The author had studied related documents and randomly selected 200 vocabulary words in Pali and Sanskrit and analyzed vowel conversion transformation of Pali and Sanskrit language. Result of vowel conversion transformation of Pali language were found 5 sound units: A, Ā, I, U and O and the vowel conversion of Sanskrit language was found 11 vowel: A, I, Ī, ƚ, Ū,O, E, ĀI, ә:, Ŗand vowel convers A in Ŗbelong to vowel rr (r hăn) and the vowels conversion of Pali and Sanskrit language were found 16 sound units: 1) The vowels conversion in Pali and Sanskrit language uses the samewhen using in Thai language: A, I, O, 2) The vowels conversion only in Paly: Āand U when using in Thai language 3) The vowels conversion only in Sanskrit: Ī, ƚ, Ū, E, ĀI, ә:, Ŗwhen using in Thai language. |
