The sample size was the representative household in the 2nd community. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics in the form of percentages and statistics based on correlations between variables in correlation. The results showed that the samples are knowledgeable concerning the separation of solid waste at a high level (?x = 7.12, S.D. = 1.94), are aware of the separation of solid waste at a high level (?x = 16.77, S.D. = 2.13), have been promoted by the local administration at a low level (x? = 8.72, S.D. = 3.54). In addition, the behavior for separating solid waste was low (?x = 12.39, S.D. = 8.14). The tests found that the relationship between variables and knowledge relating to the separation of waste was correlated with the behavior of sorting garbage at statistically significant (P < 0.05, r = 0.174), and awareness of sorting waste was not related to the behavior of sorting waste (P < 0.05). This result had been encouraged by local governments that were positively correlated with the behavior of sorting garbage at statistical significance (P < 0.05, r = 0.243).
