| Abstract | This article attempts to learn from the past through an evaluation of the successful cases of territory separation and their legal mechanisms from the point of view of modern law. To achieve the aim, we are going to describe the process of annexing the territories to the states, analyze the registration of the annexation and then depict the secession itself and make a conclusion about the possibility of using the historical experience by modern countries. |
