| Abstract | The article discusses the features that determined new approaches to the formulation and solution of the problem of the patriotic education of students in Russia in the early twentieth century. The authors interpret the concept of "patriotism" through the prism of various fields of scientific knowledge. Particular attention is paid to the formation of civil-patriotic characteristics of the younger generation in a pedagogical interpretation. The work highlights the spiritual and moral criteria for the development of youth, which are fundamental in the formation and development of its patriotic components of personality. The process of formation and development of amateur associations as a subject of patriotic education in Russia at the beginning of the 20th century is characterized. |
