Abstract Strategic Leadership is a style of leadership that brings progress to an organization, it is about senior management and strategic leadership similar to goal-oriented leadership. A leader who can motivate subordinates with rewards for accomplishment, or regenerative leadership, a process leading to change rather than static. This research aims to 1) study the current conditions, the desirable conditions, and the needs of strategic leadership of educational institution administrators. And 2) to study the approaches for developing strategic leadership of educational institution administrators. This study was conducted in the area of ​​Chaiyaphum Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The research is divided into 2 phases: Phase 1 studying current conditions, desirable conditions, and needs of strategic leadership of school administrators. A sample of 338 people using a simple random sampling method. The research tool was a questionnaire with an estimation scale. The statistics used in the research were frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. And phase 2, is a study on the development of strategic leadership for educational institute administrators. The target group is 9 experts by interviewing. And then analyzed in terms of content and summarized as an essay. The results of the research were as follows: (1) The current state of the strategic leadership approach of school administrators as a whole was at a high level. And desirable condition overall, it was at the highest level. And (2) The results of the study of the development guidelines for the strategic leadership of school administrators. By assessment examine the suitability and feasibility of the strategic leadership development approach of school administrators. Overall, there was a high level of appropriateness.
