| Abstract | The purposes of this study included the following: (1) To study the level of people's participation. (2) To study the level of performance according to the roles and duties of the village headman. (3)To study the influence of people's participation affecting the performance of the sub-districts roles and duties. And (4) To study the guidelines for the development of people's participation and performance in accordance with the roles and duties of the village headman. This study was held in Ban Muang District Sakon Nakhon Province. The sample group includes People whose domiciles are in Ban Muang District Sakon Nakhon Province consisting of 398 people using a stratified sampling method using questionnaires as a data collection tool. and the statistics used in the data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. and multiple regression analysis The study revealed these results: (1) People's participation in the performance of duties of the sub-district The headman in Ban Muang District Sakon Nakhon Province Overall, it's at a high level. (2) Performance according to the roles and duties of the village headman The headman in Ban Muang District Sakon Nakhon Province as a whole is at a high level. (3) Public participation The impact participation aspect, the benefits participation aspect, the assessment participation aspect, and the benefits participation aspect. Participation in decision-making influenced the performance according to the roles and duties of the headman. The headman in Ban Muang District Sakon Nakhon Province was statistically significant at the .05 level and was able to jointly predict the level of performance according to the roles and duties of the village headman.
