| Abstract | The government has set up a project to strengthen the grassroots economy according to the civil state approach under the implementation of the civil state policy, which has given the policy directly to the local in implementing the policy, with villages and urban communities as administrators according to the project to strengthen the grassroots economy according to the civil state approach, under the implementation of the civil state policy, the government has assigned the National Village and Urban Fund Office to supervise and follow up projects in each village and urban community to develop the local economy in the village and urban community. Thus, the purposes of this study included the following: (1) To investigate the level of factors of administration, members’ participation, and success in running the village and urban funds. (2) To study the influences of the factors of administration and the members’ participation on the success in running the village and urban funds. This research was held in Don Tan District, Mukdahan Province. The sample was obtained through stratified random sampling technique, the samples were 397 members of the village and urban funds whose domiciles were in Don Tan District, Mukdahan Province. The questionnaire with 0.80 – 1.00 IOC, 0.434-0.844 discrimination index, and .985 reliability was adopted as the research tool. Statistics employed for data analysis were composed of frequency, percentage, standard deviation and Multiple Regression Analysis. The study revealed these results: (1) The administrative factors of the village and urban funds as a whole, were at the moderate level. The members’ participation in the village and urban funds as a whole, was at the high level. The success in running the village and urban funds as a whole, was at the moderate level. (2) The sub-variables of the administrative factors which impacted on the success in running the village and urban funds consisted of the input factors (β=.275), context factors (β=.208) and process factors (β=.174). Altogether, these factors could be used to correctly predict the success in running the village and urban funds was 49.60% (R2Adj=.496) with 0.05 level of statistical significance. (3) The sub-variables of the participatory factors which impacted on the success in running the village and urban funds consisted of the assessment (β=.394), decision making, (β=.233), receiving benefits (β=.204), and the running (β=.159), respectively. Altogether, these factors could be used to correctly predict the success in running the village and urban funds was 66.70% (R2Adj=.667) with .05 level of statistical significance. |
