| Abstract | The “Bilingual Nation 2030” policy in Taiwan aims to cultivate a bilingual society in which citizens are proficient in both Mandarin Chinese and English by 2030. This policy seeks to meet the demands of the labor market while enhancing Taiwan’s global competitiveness. It employs a comprehensive approach, including curriculum enhancements, teacher training, and the creation of a supportive societal environment for the use of English. This academic article analyzes the policy through the Input-Process-Output (IPO) framework, emphasizing its key components—inputs, processes, and outcomes—and discusses how Thailand could adapt these strategies to reform its English education system. The goal is to equip Thailand’s human resources with the skills needed to navigate the global challenges of the 21st century. |
