| Abstract | The purposes of this research were to develop the potential of community administration and management around Si Thep Historical Park and to provide a model for developing and strengthening community management capabilities around the park. The samples were community leaders, community committees and representatives of people living in communities, government agency, and private agencies of 185 people. The data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, group talks, and organizing a potential searching workshop. The data were analyzed and provided as a suitable model for the Si Thep sub-district community. The results showed that the community of Si Thep has two types of community administration and management structures; - 1) Management structures according to the model of the Ministry of Interior 2) The form of subdividing was allocated into 8-9 sub-groups, the model is very efficient which could be proved by various developments of each sub-group, for example, the community is organized, clean, and safe. There was cooperation over creating a career development group which made extra income for members of the community. The researcher proposed a community administration and management model in which community members could participate by creating a community career group that has a management structure and division of duties and responsibilities. Members of the community form a joint committee. This concerns creating a group to solve a problem and the needs of the community directly then these groups have government agencies and private sector to support. |
