| Abstract | This research was conducted for the purpose of observing vocal teaching techniques employed by three instructors in private music schools in Thailand. The observed music teaching techniques would then be introduced to the music course instructions at the College of Music, Mahasarakham University. The qualitative research methodology and content analysis were used as frameworks for data interpretation. In order to introduce the music teaching techniques obtained from the private music schools it was advised that all ideas promote the learner-centered method to help foster the development of a natural singing foundation. The music teaching techniques should involve dividing the course contents into different sections. Dividing the course contents into sections would ensure: thorough practice among learners, an understanding of easily comprehensible language, benefits from monitoring individual progress, exposure to different teaching styles and techniques. A supportive learning atmosphere and a friendly teaching style would improve the overall learning process and outcome. |
