| Abstract | This thesis attempted to determine the level of use, problems and satisfaction, with educational technology mediathat iscurrentlybeingusedbyteacherstoteach Chineselanguage at schools under the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA). Data were collected from teachers whotaught Chinesein437schools.Theresearchinstrumentsconsistedofquestionnaires and in-depth interviews at 10 schools. Data were analyzed by using the percentage, mean and standard deviation (S.D.) approach. The results of this study showed: 1) A teacher, who was teaching at one of the schools under BMA control, gave a rating of "high level of satisfaction on teaching" by using the instructional media, whichaccountedfora3.86( =3.81). Afterbeingconsideredineachaspectof thestudy, it wasfoundthat thetopthreehighest rankedsatisfactionlevelsbelongedto:contentof the media( =3.91),designof media( =3.87),and mediaimplementation( =3.84) respectively. However, the lowest level of satisfaction went to pattern of media which had a mean of 3.83. 2)Lackof Chineseinstructional mediaandtypicalcommonproblemsthatstem from instructional media, meant that it could not meet the demands of use, which in turn caused students to pay less attention to studying. The study finds that the schools should develop instructional media that matches the student's need to make learning Chinese more effective. |
