| Abstract | The objectives of this research were 1) to study the level of participation in community development of community members, 2) to compare the level of opportunity of community leaders with participation in the development of community members, and 3) to identify problems, obstacles and suggestions regarding participation in community development. This research is qualitative. Aggregate by using a query Community members living in Ban Wang Sai community The sample is members of working age. 73 participants and 10 community leaders analyzed the data using percentage, arithmetic mean and TheMann-Whiney Utest. Social status (88.00%) is community member, (12.00%) community leader, and (72.60%) both groups are mostly not affiliated with any group. In the overall picture, 4 aspects are moderate, consisting of participation in decision-making; Operational Participation Participation in receiving benefits and participation in the evaluation and comparison of the level of openness of community leaders with their participation in the development of community members. In terms of barriers to opening opportunities for community leaders. The results of the research showed that participation in decision-making The problem faced is access to government information and natural resource management practices in the community, and some lack knowledge and understanding about community development.
