Abstract The increasing volume of food packaging waste has become a significant environmentalconcern worldwide, particularly with the rapid growth of food delivery and takeaway services.Within the area of Naresuan University, these consumption patterns have contributed to asubstantial amount of packaging waste. This study aims to examine consumer behavior relatedto food packaging use and to analyze consumers’ willingness to shift toward sustainablepackaging. Data was collected using a stratified sampling approach through a questionnairesurvey administered from July to August 2025 to 443 respondents residing in the universityarea. Descriptive statistics and binary logistic regression were employed to analyze the data. Theresults indicate that most respondents frequently use food delivery or takeaway services severaltimes per week and generally recognize the environmental benefits of reusable and sustainablepackaging. The regression model demonstrated strong explanatory power (Nagelkerke R² =0.48). The analysis reveals that environmental attitude has a positive and statistically significanteffect on the willingness to switch to sustainable packaging (p < 0.001), with a one-unit increasein attitude score increasing the likelihood of switching by 2.34 times. Conversely, packagingprices have a significant negative effect (p < 0.001), as each 1-baht increase reduces switchinglikelihood by approximately 5%. Income level also significantly influences adoption, withhigher-income respondents being more likely to choose sustainable packaging.
