| Abstract | This study used an action research approach to investigate how to improve workforce agility at ABC Publishing House in Myanmar, a country facing significant business challenges by firstly, analyzing current situations, secondly, developing and applying suitable Organization Development Interventions (ODI) and finally, by monitoring the effectiveness of ODIs upon workforce agility. Sample size of the study was 115 and it utilized both quantitative and quality research techniques. The research looked at how Organizational Practices (OP), Workplace Spirituality (WS), and Psychological Empowerment (PE) influenced workforce agility. Through the use of Organizational Development Interventions (ODIs) upon variables and after processing statistical analysis (paired sample t-tests), the findings showed that there was significance difference between pre-ODI and post-ODI results for studied variables. This supported the fact that chosen interventions significantly improved all studied variables, indicating their effectiveness. However, although quantitative results were positive, qualitative results still highlighted the gap to improve. This research offers practical insights for organizations in dynamic environments like Myanmar's publishing industry, emphasizing a comprehensive approach to achieve workforce agility through improvements in organization practices and human aspect like spirituality and psychological empowerment of the workforce. Future studies should focus on larger samples, longer-term periods, and also to explore additional influencing factors. |
