| Abstract | Leadership is an essential factor of successful management. The objective of this paper is to investigate the leadership styles of two ASEAN hospitality leaders in managing the two largest hotel chains in Asia, namely, Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts and Millennium Hotels and Resorts. The findings reveal that strong leadership styles and approaches by the two chains have led to the success of their respective organisations. Transformational, servant and transactional approaches have significantly influenced the management of organisations in today's fast-changing business environment. Furthermore, this study provides perspectives through which it is possible to better understand ASEAN hospitality industry. |
