| Abstract | This article examines the evolving role of Thai families in creating and sustaining social capital amid the forces of globalization. Traditionally, extended Thai families functioned as key agents of moral education, community engagement, and trust-building. In the modern era, despite changes in family structure, values, and communication patterns, families continue to adapt by supporting ethical development, fostering social networks, and participating in community life. The study highlights both the challenges and potentials of Thai families in strengthening social cohesion in a rapidly changing social environment. |
