| Description | 1. Scientific Hypothesis1. Single and double ovulations influences CL development and regression, eNOS expression, and P4 concentrations in Thai-native goats during estrous cycle.2. Compensatory growth application influences metabolic changes, ovarian function and growth related P4 concentrations, eNOS expression, and gene expression in Thai-native goats during estrous cycle.3. The short term and long term progestins based estrus synchronization protocols can affect the number of follicle, cumulus oocyte complex (COCs) genes expression, and embryonic development in Thai-native goats. 2. Objectives1. To evaluate CL development, regression, eNOS localiza-tion and expression following single and double ovulation during the estrous cycle in Thai-native goats. 2. To investigate the effect of stair-step feeding regimen during estrous cycle on CL development and regression, follicular development and oocytes quality, P4 concentrations, and eNOS expression in Thai-native goats.3. To determine the effects of short term and long term progestins based on follicular development, oocyte quality, and embryonic development in Thai-native goats.3. Anticipated outcomesGain knowledge on CL development, regression and functions following single and double ovulation during the estrus cycle in goats and information on physiological and cellular responses related to applications of compensatory growth. Emphasized on metabolic changes, ovarian function, and growth related gene expression during the estrous cycle. Knowledge and information of short term and long term progesterone based estrus synchronization on number of follicle, cumulus oocyte complex genes expression, and embryonic development in Thai-native goats. |
