| Abstract | This paper provides a description of the external macro environment that influences the advancement of ocean renewable energy (ORE) in the Philippines. The PESTLE Analysis is employed to identify key factors categorized as political, economic, socio-cultural, technological, legal and environmental factors. The main objective of this study is to assess the country as an investment location for ORE given its abundant resources. This also aims to assist policy makers, technology developers, investors, and other key players in formulating strategies for the development of ocean renewable energy in the Philippines. |
