| Abstract | The research objective was to study roles of parents in promoting dental health to preschoolers: food organization and nutrition, oral hygiene care, and oral health examination. The samples were 147 parents of preschoolers at AnubanChoeng Noen school, the second semester of academic year 2020. The research tool was a questionnaire. The data were analyzed by frequency distribution, percentage, means, and standard deviation, and content classification. The research results found that the overall roles of parents in promoting dental health to preschoolers was at a medium level (M =3.46). Considering each sub-idea, it found that there were two sub-sides having roles of parents at a high level (3.70 ? M ? 4.02): firstly, food organization and nutrition (M = 3.70) consists of healthy food and snack arrangements (M = 3.70), and limiting the amount of sweets or desserts (M = 3.42); secondly, oral hygiene care (M = 4.02) consists of dental care (M = 3.99), motivating brushing teeth (M = 3.93), setting the time to eat (M =4.01). Lastly, oral health examination was at a medium level (M = 3.18) consists of dental examination (M = 3.33), and oral health surveillance (M = 3.09) |
