Abstract This study was a survey research. It aimed to: 1) study the English reading behavior of educational students of Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University; 2) analyze the factors to result in students’ English reading behavior, and 3) offer the guidelines for enhancing the students in reading English. The target population of the study was 742 second-year educational students in the second semester of the academic year 2023 at Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University. The samples of the study were Yamane 260 educational students (year 2nd) at Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University, enrolled in the semester 2nd, academic year 2023. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The results of the study were: 1) English reading behavior: The most readable printed media resource was fiction with 116 students (44.61%). The second readable printed media was the general book, 61 students (23.46 %). The least readable printed media was textbooks, 45 students (17.30 %). The most learning resource was the internet, 152 students (58.46 %). The most reading locations were at students’ houses, 122 students (46.92 %); libraries, 69 students (26.53 %), and bookstores, 25 students (9.61 %). The frequency of reading was 1 day a week, and 30 minutes a day. 2) The factors that resulted in English reading behavior found was the students of the sample group appeared themselves with agreeable attitudes towards the factors at very good (X ̅ = 3.814, S.D.= 1.034). The most three agreeable factors were: the attitude to English reading, ((X ) ̅ = 4.131, S.D. = 0,936); English reading motivation, (X ̅ = 4.021, S.D. = 1.003), and English reading behavior, (X ̅ 3.948, S.D. = 1.024).3) The guidelines for enhancing the students in reading English consisted of 4 factors. They were: 1. reading environment, for example, a library automated system, and fully online information service space; 2. reading motivation, for example, providing more interesting English books; 3.. reading attitude -- reading for: getting jobs, knowing the world situation, and searching research information. To enhance English reading, the university should provide modern electronic books and reading equipment for students, and 4. reading behavior - giving students suggestions for self-study, and designing interesting teaching and learning activities by the internet.
