Abstract | This research aimed to: 1) investigate the leadership of educational institution administrators, 2) compare the leadership of women administrators in educational institutions, classified by gender, educational level, work experience, and size of educational institutions, and 3) explore the guidelines for strengthening the women administrators of educational institutions under the Sa Kaeo Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The research samples consisted of 226 teachers in the Sa Kaeo Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The key informants included five administrators. The instruments were questionnaires and an interview form. To analyze the data, the researcher conducted statistics consisting of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, analysis of variance, and content analysis for the qualitative study.The results showed that: 1) women administrators in educational institutions demonstrated overall leadership at a high level. 2) There were no differences in the overall leadership of female administrators in educational institutions, whether categorized by gender, educational level, work experience, and institution size. However, there was a difference categorized by gender. 3) Five categories were covered in the guidelines for bolstering the representation of women in leadership roles in educational institutions: (1) motivation; school administrators needed to kindly support and encourage their staff members to make changes and be prepared to work together for achieving the goals, (2) incentive; school administrators must provide moral support and encouragement as well as congratulations, praise, and admiration, (3) developing a vision; administrators designated supervisors and their teams, giving the group leaders the power and duty to make different judgments, (4) creating prestige; in terms of work control, people control, and self-control, educational administrators must provide an excellent role model for their staff members, (5) human relations; school administrators needed to be friendly, good listener, and offer guidance and counselling. |
