Abstract | The objectives of this research article were 1) to study the characteristics of digital age teachers under the office of the promotion of learning in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, 2) to study methods for developing the characteristics of digital age teachers according to the principles of the Kalyanamittadhamma 7 under the office of the promotion of learning in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, and 3) to propose guidelines for developing the characteristics of digital-age teachers according to the principles of the Kalyanamittadhamma 7 under the office of the promotion of learning in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. There are mixed methodology. The population consisted of school administrators, teachers, and educational personnel. The key informants consisted of experts in developing the characteristics of digital age teachers. The data for quantitative research was analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. For qualitative research, it was analyzed by using content analysis.The study results showed that 1) the characteristics of digital era teachers under the office of the promotion of learning in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province found that the overall nine aspects were at a high level. The highest was End-User. The lowest was Enabler: Teachers use technology, software, and hardware to create lessons. 2) Guidelines for developing the characteristics of digital age teachers according to the Kalyanamittadhamma 7 included encouraging teachers to participate in training, workshops, study visits, and peer learning exchanges which focused on personality development, demeanor, public speaking, work performance, and professional ethics. 3) Guidelines for developing the characteristics of digital age teachers according to the Kalyanamittadhamma 7 found that digital age teachers should develop characteristics in terms of relationships with learners, the ability to use technology to support learning, and being good role models in the learning process by using the principles of Kalyanamittadhamma 7 as a framework, it helped creating a balance between the use of technology and the relationship between teachers and learners to make it more meaningful and sustainable. |
