Abstract | Based on the same group of Thai university students' compositions corpus at each grade. This paper mainly analyzes the characteristic and dynamic regularities of Chinese character writing errors by Thai learners. The result shows: 1) the rate of errors of wrong characters obviously higher than misused characters at each grade, but with the increase of the Chinese language level and the number of characters they learn, wrong characters reduce in number and misused characters increase, 2) the most of wrong characters and misused characters mainly focus on the aspects of components, two-components ones, primary Chinese characters, left-right structured ones and phonogram characters at each grade, 3)the grapheme play a more important role than sound when Thai students learning Chinese characters, and the stroke number, structure types, and component number have a statistically significant impact on the Chinese writing of Thai students. |
