Abstract | The purpose of this research was to develop a small-sized school management system according to the concept of social enterprise. The methodology of research was a mixed method. The samples comprised small-sized schools under the Office of the Basic Education Commission. School directors and teachers were key informants. The research instruments included the conceptual framework, questionnaire, and evaluation form concerning the suitability and feasibility of the system. Statistics used in data analysis were frequency, mean, standard deviation (SD), and Modified Priority Needs Index (PNImodified). The research showed that the present conditions of the small-sized school management system according to the concept of social enterprise were at a moderate level, while the desirable conditions were at a high level. The results of developing the school management system found that a small-sized school management system focused on a policy of learning and extra-curricular activities management should be based on three concepts of social enterprise including 1) Utilising profits to develop the social business and create benefits for the society, community, and environment, 2) Having continual merchandise production and services that are environmental friendly, and 3) Creating and developing innovation to solving problems and develop the society. |
