Abstract | This research aimed to study the current situation, desirable condition, and needs to enhance the leadership of school administrators in the VUCA world under the secondary educational service area office in Surin. The sample group for data collection consisted of 341 school administrators and teachers from schools within the secondary educational service area office in Surin, by a stratified random sampling technique. The data collection tool was a questionnaire in rating scale format, with power of discrimination ranging from 0.738 to 0.901 for the current situation questionnaire and 0.651 to 0.817 for the desirable condition questionnaire. The reliability of the questionnaire was 0.993 and 0.986 for the current and desirable situation questionnaires, respectively. The statistics used were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Cronbach’s alpha coefficient and Priority Needs of Index (PNI). The study's findings revealed that the current situations of leadership of school administrators in the VUCA world were rated in middle level and the desirable situations rated in strongly agree and the needs of development leadership could be ordered from the highest mean to the lowest as follows: vision, understanding, clarify, and agility, respectively. |
