Abstract This research aims to study the process of developing creative products from kangpla trees to generate income for the Loei waterfront community and present guidelines for the conservation of Kangpla Plants to preserve the locality and identity of the Loei waterfront community. This is a qualitative research that emphasizes participatory action research techniques in all sectors. The research was conducted in Ban Kang Pla, Mueang Loei District, Loei Province. The target groups were community leaders, representatives of housewives' groups, local scholars, school directors, local agencies, students from the Faculty of Education, Loei Rajabhat University, and students from Ban Kang Pla School. The research instruments were a leading question form for brainstorming ideas on locality and the use of kangpla plants, a leading question form for brainstorming ideas on product development from kangpla trees, and a satisfaction assessment form for the project's results. The results of the study found that the process of developing creative products from Kangpla Plants to generate income for the Loei waterfront community consisted of four processes: a participatory process in problem analysis, a participatory process in product search, a participatory process in designing and developing products from Kangpla Plants trees, a process of developing prototype products, and a process of generating income product. As for the conservation guidelines for Kangpla Plants to preserve the locality and identity of the community along the Loei waterfront community, there were two approaches: the first approach is conservation through a process of enhancing learning to create local citizens, such as local curricula. The Tale of the Kangpla House E-Book Kangpla Plants and the next approach is conservation through the creative economy process, such as fruit baskets, Khantok, baskets, and so on.
