Abstract | The research focuses on analyzing public opinions about local wisdom protection and the “Heet Sib Song” tradition in Phra Yuen Subdistrict, Phra Yuen District, Khon Kaen Province. The research sample included all residents who live in Phra Yuen Subdistrict. The research instrument was a questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including percentage, mean, standard deviation, and inferential statistics. The research results revealed that the residents favor preserving local wisdom and the “Heet Sib Song” tradition. The research found that local people had strong opinions on the conservation of local wisdom and the tradition of the “Heet Sib Song” in all five dimensions. When comparing opinions, gender was not significantly different at the 0.50 level. The results of the research were different from the variables age, occupation, and education level, which were significantly different at the 0.50 level. The results of this research indicate the importance of creating participation and developing strategies for the sustainable conservation of the tradition of the Sibsong. |
