Abstract | The purpose of the research was to study the 21st century teacher competencies of the teachers in the schools under the Vibhavadi joint campus, the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 2, Bangkok. There are 11 competencies: (1) Preparing appropriate lesson plans with the school vision and mission (2) Creating a conductive learning environment (3) Developing and utilizing teaching and learning resources (4) Developing Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) (5) Facilitating learning (6) Enhancing ethical and moral values (7) Facilitating the development of learners’ lives and career (8) Assessing and evaluating learner performance (9) Engaging in professional development (10) Networking with stakeholders espeacially with parents (11) Managing students’ welfare and other tasks. The sampling was consisted of 215 Science, Mathematics, English, Thai Language and Social Studies teachers. Research instrument used in this study was the 21st century teacher competencies questionaire. The data were analyed using descriptives statistics: Frequency, Percentage, M and SD the findings were as follows: the teachers have all 11 competencies in high average level. For the enhancing ethical and moral values is the highest average level and the lowest average level is networking with stakeholders espeacially with parents. Moreover, there is the finding from analyzed data is that the different genders have no different in the 21st century teacher competencies. |
