Abstract | The purpose of this article is to study and guide the development of strategic human resource management in private schools. The study found that strategic human resource management was an integration between the human resource management concept and the strategic decision making of the school. There is the linkage among internal and external analysis, and the five human resource practices: workforce planning and staffing, recruitment and selection, human resource relations, performance appraisal, and human resource development with the strategic goals of the school. When the school efficiently aligns their human resource management with their corporate strategy, it could anticipate the competitive advantage. Focusing on skills, determination and motivation on lead the school in a progressive direction and maintain competitive advantage under the current of change. The strategic human resource management supports the proactive work of administrators, sets direction for personnel in the school, creates a competitive advantage for school, and the school achieve the vision, mission, and objectives efficiently. The guideline for development of strategic human resource management in private schools were to evaluate the school readiness, to create and establish an acceptable human resources framework, the administrators design the schools, all administrators drive the human resource management strategy for success, establish a concrete human resource management plan and consistent with the goal of schools, and evaluate and raise the level of talented personnel in the schools. |
